Dear Sir or Madam,

The University of São Paulo – USP, established in 1934, is comprised of more than 45 teaching and research units, as well as several specialized centers and museums. It is now recognized as the largest university in Latin America, constituting a community of approximately 110,000 people, including teachers, students and staff. It is in this context that, the University of São Paulo Integrated Library System – SIBiUSP is celebrating 30 years of existence. Created in 1981, the system serves 44 specialized libraries, distributed across nine cities, managing over eight million items in its physical and digital collections.

The activities planned for the celebrations will culminate in a major international conference with the participation of renowned national and international researchers working in the areas of literature, scientific knowledge, research and innovation. The event aims to reflect on the past and explore the scenario the system will be operating in over the next twenty years and will focus on four main themes: The future of books; The future of knowledge access for people with special needs; The future of scientific and intellectual production; and The future of libraries.

We would be honored to welcome you to our event. Please find below the provisional program.
